धर्मशाला प्रशासनिक मुख्यालय है कांगड़ा जिले के और 18 किमी दूर स्थित है कांगड़ा के उत्तर-पूर्व। Thetown पर स्थित है धौलाधार रेंज की तलहटी। वो था Britishersand द्वारा स्थापित एक के रूप में इस्तेमाल 1849 की साल में सैनिकों के लिए छावनी। धर्मशाला के परम पावन का वास है दलाई लामा जब से वह 1959 में तिब्बत छोड़ दिया है। धर्मशाला नगर पालिका में से एक था हिमाचल प्रदेश में सबसे पुराना नगर पालिका और 1867 के वर्ष में स्थापित किया। भौगोलिक दृष्टि से शहर में तैनात है 23o 13 ' उत्तरी अक्षांश और 76o 19 'पूर्वी देशांतर। शहर की ढलान अलग से भिन्न है स्तरों। शहर के ऊपरी भाग पर स्थित है 2100 मीटर की ऊंचाई और निचले हिस्से पर शहर के की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है 1250 मीटर। नगर परिषद के कुल क्षेत्रफल 10.63 है वर्ग किमी। प्रशासकीय शहर बांटा गया है 11 वार्डों में लेकिन छह प्रमुख भागों में - Meclodganj, Frysatganj, कोतवाली बाजार, राम नगर, Shayam नगर और दारी Barol। वर्तमान में दारी Barol क्षेत्र में तेजी से वृद्धि का अनुभव किया। 2011 की जनगणना के अनुसार, धर्मशाला की कुल जनसंख्या के रूप

Manimahesh Treking Details Manimahesh Lake also known as Dal Lake is situated close to the Mani Mahesh Kailash Peak in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas at an elevation of 4,080 metres.  It is located in the Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.  This place has a religious significance because lake is next to that of the Lake Manasarovar in Tibet. The lake is a chosen pilgrimage trek during the month of August and September corresponding to the month of Bhadon according to Hindu calendar.  A popular legend claims that Lord Shiva created Mani Mahesh after he married Goddess Parvati and also performed penance on the banks of Mani Mahesh Lake. The Kinner Kailash Shivlingam The Kinner Kailash Shivlingam, one of the mythical abodes of Lord Shiva, is a 79 foot vertical rock in the Kinner Kailash mountain range. On a clear day, one can see the Shivlingam which changes color during the course of the day. This Rock face is in between the 20,000 ft Kinner Kailash ranges of Mt. Kailash (19,850 ft) & Mt.
